Zanillya is a rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer based in Amsterdam. Beloved by tastemakers across the board from Sway Calloway, Toddla T, Jack Saunders, Jamz Supernova to Future Classic, Wonderland, Fred Perry, i-D and DUMMY as well as receiving radio support from the likes of BBC 1Xtra and BBC 6 Music. She has started to carve out her own space in the music scene, releasing inspired tracks that touch on self-confidence, mental health, the life of an artist, and empowerment. Channeling heavy energy into something beautiful, her debut EP ‘Choose Life', is an exercise in cathartic writing, flowers blooming from a ground of pain. A varied yet cohesive collection of tracks characterized by her signature blend of R&B, Dancehall, Afrobeats and Hip-Hop. 

Working tirelessly on her music over the last few years, Zanillya has worked with major brands like Apple, FIFA, UEFA, Nike, Karcher, Sloggi, Lego, Colgate, Vodafone, Smilf, Showtime, MTV, River Island, Grown - Ish, Ray Ban and many more. In 2020 Zanillya and long time collaborator Humphrey Dennis, formed MariaDennis to get out some of the more playful, fun, dance and pop-oriented ideas that didn’t necessarily fit their solo projects. Their first single ‘You Extra’ was the soundtrack to the 2020 SEAT Ibiza & Arona worldwide AD. Their sophomore single ‘Hold On’ was released in that same year on the iconic Australian label Future Classic (Flume, Nick Murphy, SOPHIE, Flight Facilities, Ta-ku). 

With the song "Swipe it Off' (produced by Leo Justi and Brazzabelle) Zanillya won a Buma Award for Best Sync for the UEFA #WePlayStrong ground-breaking campaign. 

Gearing up to release an EP this year, Zanillya will be showcasing a different side to her already versatile sound.
