Roy Stride is one of the most versatile and successful songwriters in the UK, with over 15 years experience, hits in three decades and over 250 published songs. He writes across genres and has cuts with a diverse range of artists including One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jax Jones, Calum Scott, The Vamps, Seafret, Lucas and Steve & his own UK band Scouting for Girls. 

His first hit record was the UK indie Anthem 3X platinum ‘She’s So Lovely’ (2007) 

His first No.1 was 2X Platinum ‘This Aint A Love Song’ in (2010)

His first 1billion streams was ‘Atlantis’ by Seafret (2015)

His most recent Gold record was ‘Whistle’ by Jax Jones & Calum Scott in (2022)

He has received the American Songwriters ASCAP college award, four Brit award nominations and was nominated for the Ivor Novello award in 2011. In 2019 he  joined the Ivor Novello judging panel.

He divides his time between London Qube studios and his own residential studio in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. If he’s not in the studio he will probably be playing a show somewhere with Scouting for Girls
