Kings Elliot

Swiss born, London based Kings Elliot first started releasing music in 2020 and she is quickly becoming becoming one of the most promising new talents in music today.

Her debut single ‘I’m Getting Tired of Me’ was a stunning introduction to her craft. A moving, heart wrenching pop ballad, it describes in raw detail her struggles with borderline personality and anxiety disorders: ‘And the wine won't make it better / But I always think it might…there's nowhere to go when I'm getting tired of me,’ she sings. It was accompanied by an equally heartbreaking, and incredibly brave, video which shows Elliott experiencing a panic attack. The attack came on as she started filming and rather than delete the footage she chose to keep it to raise awareness of the condition.

The song has collected over 2.5 million streams to date on Spotify alone, and Elliot was soon signed to international label Universal Music. Her debut EP Chaos In My Court, co-written and co-produced by Elliot, was released in 2021 and was a gorgeous collection of five piano driven pop ballads which were all as raw, intimate and heartbreaking as her debut single. The EP would see her receive a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2022 Swiss Music Awards.

In 2022, the stunning single ‘‘Til I Die’. With touches of pop, soul, and jazz it is an emotive cathartic song that acknowledges the devastating effect mental disorders can wreak, but ultimately recognises and accepts them as a fundamental part of her make up. ‘I curse you / Dreaming I'll desert you…And even though it hurts us / I won't leave your side / And I know you'll be with me 'til I die’. It is a beautiful message that helps to destigmatise mental illness and the perception it is something to hide. "I wrote ‘‘Til I Die’ as a letter to the side of myself I find so hard to live with,” Elliot says. “The video represents the struggles I have with this version of me, the dream of escaping it and ultimately, trying to accept it… because if I don’t, who will?”
