Ruth Edmondson (aka RUTHLSS) is a London-based composer, classically trained pianist, DJ and electronic music producer, with a versatile musicality. After studying music production and
neuroscience, she experimented with synth and guitar music, playing and writing in indie bands while discovering a broad range of electronic and club music. Blending techniques from her vast skill set with her voracious appetite for electronic and dance music, Ruth effortlessly weaves sonic tapestries that defy expectations and transcend boundaries of genre. 

Channeling her interest in neuroscience and healing through sound, Ruth’s main piano composition methods involve recording hours of meditative improvisations over drones, meticulously selecting motifs and experimenting with different genres and instruments, to add depth, texture and nuance to her work. Using her broad range of technical skills and musical expertise, Ruth then develops these ideas into distinctive and emotive compositions. Ruth has also ventured into the world of sync composition, deftly crafting music for screen and short films. She recently scored the short film, 'I See Her', which is set for release in summer on Channel 4 and Amazon Video. Her multifaceted talents as a composer and producer shine through in these projects, showcasing her ability to create music that is not only emotive and impactful, but also expertly complimenting visuals. 2023 saw Ruth perform her own piano rendition of a song from video game ‘Death Stranding’ for the BAFTA Games Awards at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, while also DJing in renowned clubs in London & Berlin. 

In 2024, Ruth is set to release her self-produced debut techno EP, as well as an ambitious Aphex-style neoclassical Piano works EP. As she expands her vast and varied collection of original material, both electronic and classical, Ruth is poised to continue thrilling audiences with her high-energy DJ sets and varied musical outputs throughout 2024 and beyond.
