Marco Freivogel is a producer, composer, DJ, live performer and vintage synth collector. Marco's music has received widespread critical praise for its originality, depth and composition, which shows a versatility and openness to stretching the boundaries of both club and ambient music. Making electronic music since he was a teenager in live industrial goth bands, His adult music career was primarily under the alias’s Prequel Tapes and Exercise One; recording and releasing for labels including R’COUP’D (Ninja Tune), Cocoon, Kompakt (as SYCUM), Wagon Repair, Mannequin, Veyl, Crosstown Rebels, Fabric and Midnight Shift. He’s remixed for Shackleton, Fink, Yappa, Depayk & Padberg, Lee Burridge and Francois X among many others. An artist who loves to collaborate, he’s worked with dBridge, Jensen Intercepter, Jonas Karsten, Mathew Jonson, Elif Bicer, Mama, Tiefschwarz and Mare Nero, with a new classical composition project with flutist Adam Sinclaire due in 2024, and another with richie culver in the works.
Marco has a synth studio in berlin, where he works on composition for television and film, his own productions and collaborations, as well as engineering and mixing for other artists and their releases.
