Published by Real Culture/BMG, Yuka Otsuki is a Japanese-German composer and record producer. With strong roots in her cultural heritage and an upbringing spread across continents, Yuka has a distinctly unique sound and approach to music.
Born in Munich, Yuka grew up between Germany, Japan and Italy. Her musical journey began at age 5 with violin, music theory and orchestra. Her youth was spent in Tokyo as a student of Professor Yasuro Sumi at the Tokyo College of Music, before moving to Berlin and touring Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France and Japan, performing in bands.
Drawing on her cultural roots, Yuka has written and produced numerous platinum and gold records in Japan and South Korea, including hits with The Boyz, EXO, Taemin and Kumi Koda. She’s also prolific in the sync world, and adept at bespoke compositions, with previous major placements with Apple, Lexus, Subaru, Ford, Uniqlo, Panasonic, Shiseido and Technics to name a few.
